Community supervision and case management units:
- Support defendants stipulated by court order as a condition of release from custody
- Assesses social, clinical, and criminal history to evaluate public safety risks and determine client needs
- Establish linkages to essential services (mental health and AODA treatment, housing, daily living support) provided by community-based organizations
- Monitor participation in mental health treatment and other identified services
- Report client status, progress, or noncompliance with release conditions to the courts
- Assure continuity of care through ongoing communication with identified service providers
- Continue case management services until the person is sentenced or discharged from the program
- Provide services directly in the community conducting field visits either at the person's home or treatment site and in the program offices
