The Board of Directors of Justice 2000, is pleased to announce the appointment of Clarence K. Johnson to the position of Executive Director, effective Thursday, April 3rd. Clarence has been with Justice 2000 for the past several months as the Associate Executive Director of the organization. As incoming Executive Director of Justice 2000, Clarence expects the agency to focus on the following objectives.
- Continue to ensure that Justice 2000 has a commitment to staff excellence;
- Position the agency to provide leadership and input on key Justice System issues;
- Continue to promote programs that expand opportunities for the safe release and community integration of offenders.
- Expand access to resources for effective treatment and services for individuals with mental illness, substance abuse, and co-occurring disorders who have contact with the Criminal Justice System
- Collaborate with public and private organizations to improve programs and services to marginalized and underserved populations.
Bob Sayner, former Executive Director, will remain actively involved with Justice 2000 in a new role as President and Founder of the organization. Bob will continue to work with the Board of Directors, and others, to further the objectives of Justice 2000, and plans to remain a key figure in Milwaukee’s struggle for effective criminal, social, racial and economic justice.
